What do you think about fossil? You may think about the giant ancient bones of dinosaurs for the answer of the question. Actually the fossil is not only about the ancient animal bones, the fossil can be formed by plants and stones. The resin of plants could form fossils and used as some accessories in this day. The fossil of tree resin that used by human as accessories material is amber.

The amber is similar to mineral gemstone at a glance, but actually it was formed by tree resin that fossilized. Generally, the trees that produced amber resin are included in genus Sciadopityaceae and Hymenaea which used to live in Europe, America or Africa. The amber is usually used for decorating jewelry. The amber can be processed into pendants, rings, necklace, bracelets, or brooch. It is also useful for home or furniture decorations.

 The amber jewellery is very unique. The amber contains little bugs or animals such as ants, mosquitoes, moths or even little frog. The bugs or animals inside the amber called inclusions. The animal was trapped in the resin before the resin fossilized, the inclusion can be seen because the amber is transparent. The amber jewelry is loved by many people because the variation of its colors.
